A FREE WATER ANALYSIS IS REQUIRED

SPECIFICATIONS

Filters to 10 microns for crystal clear water  •  Maximum hardness: 25 Grains (contact factory for higher hardness levels)  •  Maximum Iron: 5 PPM - Red water    (Ferric) plus clear (Ferrous) iron.  Consult factory if bacterial or organic iron is suspected  •  Maximum Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S): 3 PPM – Rotten egg smell.  Sulfur reducing bacteria (SRB) is often the cause of this odor.  This may require additional treatment by feeding with chlorine, hydrogen peroxide, ozone or Ultra Violet prior to system or chlorination of the well at time of installation.

The Elixir systems are designed to provide safe drinking water in an economical and easy to use and maintain design.

Their filtration produces a visibly clear water.  The activated carbon eliminates volatile organics such as petroleum residue, pesticides and insecticides as it also removes objectionable tastes and odors.

The filtered water is processed by ultraviolet light to rid it of microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses.

• Ultraviolet filtration (UV) kills cysts, bacteria, viruses, and all organic material.  Examples include giardia lamblia, cryptosporidium and E. coli.

• Removes chlorine and associated taste and odor.

• Removes pesticides, insecticides, and petroleum residue.

• Removes trace heavy metals.

• Removes all suspended solids down to 5 micron particles.

COMPONENT LIFE:  ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT BULB - Bulb replacement every 365 days (9,000 hours). System has an alarm if the UV bulb is bad and also has a counter that indexes down from 365 days to zero.  By unplugging the unit during prolonged periods of non-use, bulb life is extended  •  CARBON BLOCK FILTER - 9,000 gallons with a chlorine challenge of 1 PPM (more at lower concentrations and less when higher.  It is recommended to replace every 8 or 12 months if the source is not metered)

System has an alarm if the valve is bad and also has a counter that indexes down from 365 days to zero.  By unplugging the unit during prolonged periods of non-use, bulb life is extended.  •  ESF - This is a permanent component requiring no parts or service. A life of 10 years is to be expected.

The systems is mounted on an aluminum skid with wheels for ease of installation.  The unit measures 35 inches wide X 60 inches long. 

Height: 80.5 inches - 200 gallon tank, 93 inches - 300 gallon tank.

PERFORMANCE

Several options are available based on filter requirements which will be determined with laboratory analysis of a well water sample, and production throughput requirements.  The available range is 21-210 gallons per hour and 200-300 gallons storage capacity.
